UConn Extension offers dynamic financial education workshops designed to engage participants and build knowledge and skills tailored to their needs and interests. A variety of interactive teaching methods are used to ensure content is accessible, relevant, and practical.

Our personal financial education programs are delivered in collaboration with academic institutions, community organizations, state agencies, and businesses. These partnerships help us reach a wide range of audiences, including youth, young adults, families, professionals, and the general public. We also provide training for professional and volunteer groups, and we specialize in developing workshops for new audiences and individuals facing financial challenges. Contact your local organization or faye.griffiths-smith@uconn.edu for more information on upcoming workshops or to organize one in your community.

UConn Extension also coordinates the Connecticut Saves Campaign (learn more below), a statewide initiative that promotes personal saving through financial education and social marketing. This year-round campaign is supported by a network of partner organizations and encourages residents to set goals, make plans, and save automatically.

We are developing workshops for new audiences and working with people facing financial challenges. Opportunities to collaborate with others on new projects are welcomed.
